Hi All, I have been trying my hardest to solve the issue of " Send As" with absolutely NO luck..... To be fair this really is very simple! I have Exchange 2007 running in a live production environment all Exchange servers are running SP1. This is a migrated org from Exchange 2000 where the "Send As" worked perfectly fine. I suspect it gave up when we prepared the domain for Windows 2003 /legacypermissions. I have read many many tech notes and NO solutions work at all.. "Sending On Behalf " of a user works fine but that is not what we want. The users in question have "Full Access" to the mailbox that they need to "Send As" from and also the "Send As" is checked in the security tab of the AD object.. It still does not work! Please help I am going mad trying to solve this, I am 100% confident that this is permissions as once you add the user to the Domain Admins group the "Send As" feature perfectly but of course this is not the solution.... I am open to all suggestions???!?!?!?! Regards Paul

Thanks for the reply... This is now offered as part of sp1. But unfortunatley it does not work. The only part I can get to work is to display "Sent on Behalf" which is NOT what we want. I have read elsewhere that it works fine if you have a native 2003 domain (i.e. green field install of 2003) Our domain was a 2000 domain ever since we ran the legacypermissions switch for domain prep it has failed! This is a permissions issue as it works fine if you add the user to the domain admins group which is not going to happen!! Does anyone have any answers or at least someone from MS please reply as this should be a simple response? Regards Paul

When you run the cmdlet are you specifying a 2003 dc/gc with the -domaincontroller switch?

Why would I want to specify a dc if I am running in a Native 2003 environment with only 2003 r2 DC's installed, if it picks one it can only be a brand new 2003 r2 dc? Paul

This issue was caused by having the main all users nested in the local admins group (installed by HSBC due to an application using local admin rights) once removed the send as worked okay. The other issue is to open ADSI edit and the check the "admincount" on the user should be set to 0
